“KAT-TUN’s Taguchi-san came shopping today,” started the tweet.

But the news hasn’t sparked any talk on the internet, and it may be because the clothing line acted quickly and apologised before any gossip could start spreading, reports J-CAST News.

Around mid-January a shop attendant in a BEAMS clothing shop in Tokyo tweeted about Taguchi’s shopping trip.

“KAT-TUN’s Taguchi-san came shopping today, but he was talking to one of my seniors about how, ‘honestly, I couldn’t care less’ and, ‘if it were Kamenashi-kun’, but in the end he apparently spent more than 200,000 yen so thank you for contributing to our budget, lol.” (translation)

The tweet has since been deleted, but judging by the tweets about it, it seems like Taguchi went shopping last Tuesday night (January 10).

It has been reported several people had complained about the tweet, saying it revealed private information about Taguchi, and another asking the shop attendant to stop making fun of him.

As well as deleting the tweet, BEAMS has released a statement on their website on January 12, apologising for the incident. It also says the company will carry out a harsh punishment for the employee in question.

It has been reported the shop attendant was simply using Twitter as a way to chat with a friend, and did not realise how visible the tweet would be to everyone on the internet.

On October 5th, an awards ceremony was held to recognize the winners of the “28th Annual Best Jeanist 2011 Awards“. The awards are given out based on a national vote as various celebrities are voted on who suits jeans the most.

This year, Arashi’s Aiba Masaki and actress Kuroki Meisa were chosen as “Best Jeanist” for the very first time.

Aiba expressed, “I can’t believe it. We [Arashi] have a segment on our show where our outfits are evaluated, and I receive severe criticism all the time. With this, I can get back at them. ” While looking at the award, he said with a smile, “I’m going to make this my heirloom.”

Aiba appeared at the event wearing a jacket and damaged jeans. He shared, “I decided on this last night, but the members [of Arashi] suggested things like, ‘Why don’t you cut it around here?’ and ‘Instead of jeans, why don’t you wear a jeans jacket?’. I didn’t consider any of the members’ suggestions.”

Actress and model Yu Yamada, 27, who was born and raised in Okinawa, made a triumphant return home this week to take part in the “Ryukyu Asia Collection” fashion show. Yamada was welcomed home by fans at the Ginowan Okinawa Convention Center. She said her grandmother was in the audience, the first time she had ever seen Yamada on the catwalk.

Altogether, around 50 models took to the stage, which was decorated to reflect the show’s theme of “Passion,” including Yuri Ebihara, 31, and Moe Oshikiri, 31. Around 4,000 local fans gathered to see the girls model in Ginowan for the first time.

On July 16th, transsexual talent Haruna Ai attended “Tokyo Wedding Collection” in a wedding dress and a 700 million yen tiara.

At the event, Haruna confessed that she is dating a non-celebrity who’s over ten years younger than her. She commented, “We’ve only been on two dates. The relationship just started, so please watch over me.”

This ‘rehearsal’ inspired a desire for marriage in Haruna, as she also declared, “I will wear a wedding dress within a year.”

Aethetics company Kose is enlisting the help of Amuro Namie to promote their “Esprique Precious” line once again!

After featuring the singer in a series of beautiful shots for “Esprique Precious”, Kose announced in a special news release that Amuro Namie will promote their latest campaign starting on July 16th, which is when Kose plans to renew their “one-stroke” make-up line with new products.

As we previously reported, her upcoming song “NAKED” from her triple A-side single “NAKED / Fight Together /TBA ” will be used as the image song for Kose’s new CMs.

On June 1st, actress Kitano Kii showed off herself in a wedding dress for the first time at the awards ceremony, “The 5th Great Nationwide Proposal Contest 2011~Kizuna”.

Kitano, who has had experience in being proposed to in the past, said, “I’m so happy right now,” as she smiled sweetly in her pure white dress. “I feel like I’d like to wear this kind of thing while I’m still in my 20s,” she said, talking about her desire to get married.

She also revealed her assertive side, stating,“I don’t have a partner right now, but someone who understands the wonderfulness of a dress would be good. I’m kind of a ‘take charge’ type, so it might be ok for me to say ‘I’ll make you happy’ and propose myself.”

The dress Kitano wore is from the Lovers’ Sanctuary dress brand designed by Katsura Yumi. The long dress’ skirt is a separate piece detachable from the main dress, and Kitano removed it, transforming it into a minidress, and stating, “I want to wear a short-length dress.” She said enthusiastically about her ideal proposal, “I think just straightforwardly saying ‘I love you’ would make my heart move the most.”

On April 7th, popular model Ebihara Yuri attended the opening ceremony of the new Samantha Thavasa boutiques at Isetan Shanghai.

Fellow guests included model Yamamoto Mitsuki, Nicky Hilton, and popular Chinese model AYUKI, among others. Ebihara greeted everyone, stated her name in Chinese, and continued in Japanese, “I am really happy about the opening of the Shanghai store. There are a bunch of items girls would be delighted [to have], so I hope everyone in Shanghai enjoys girly fashion with Samantha Thavasa”.

Ebihara, who arrived in Shanghai a few days ago, smiled sweetly and said, “I want go to shopping. I want to find clothes and cute things unique to Shanghai and bring them back for everyone”. When asked about RIP SLYME’s ILMARI, whom she married last May, the model replied, “I want to buy souvenirs if I have time. Something that we can put on together. I mean, Samantha Thavasa carries items for men as well”.

It’s been announced that J-Pop queen Amuro Namie (33) has been chosen as the image model for the cosmetics brand “ESPRIQUE“.

“ESPRIQUE” is KOSÉ Corporation’s new cosmetics brand for women in their early 30s, and will hit stores on March 25th. The brand’s tagline “Make Dramatic” is based on the idea that using even a small bit of the products can create a dramatic change in a woman’s appearance.

Amuro was chosen as the image model because she represents the concept of a “vibrant“, “lithe“, “lively“, “feminine“, and “sophisticated” woman. The brand will aim to reach out to their target audience with a CM featuring the singer, airing on March 26th.

A host of stars, including two of rock's more colorful characters, shared the stage at yesterday's "Asia Girls Explosion" fashion/music event in Tokyo. The center of attention at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium was X Japan leader Yoshiki, who organized the event along with unconventional fashion producer JayFR, the man behind the "Tokyo Girls' Collection." With over 11,000 in attendance, yesterday's show was a crossover between Japanese and American culture. In addition to the top European fashion models lined up to show off the Yoshikimono line, the rocker invited: actress Momi Kaori (59, photo center); model Tominaga Ai (28); "90210" stars Shenae Grimes (21), Jessica Stroup (24), and AnnaLynne McCord (23); actress/socialite Olivia Palermo (25); and American shock-rocker Marilyn Manson (42).

The event also featured Yoshiki modeling his own kimono design and playing guitar for the first time in several years. He performed five X Japan numbers, including the latest single "Jade" and the first performance of "Scarlet Love Song," the theme tune for the upcoming anime feature "Tezuka Osamu no Buddha - Akai Sabaku yo, Utsukushiku." There was also the first public performance in Japan by Yoshiki's side project Violet UK (photo), with support from X Japan guitarist Sugizo (41).

Kansai’s large-scale fashion show, “Kobe Collection 2011 Spring/Summer“, was held at the World Memorial Hall in Kobe today.

Over 100 famous models, special guests and special performers, and the new collections from 39 different brands out of Kobe turned it into a spectacular show for the 12,000 people in the audience.

Additionally, the cast of the upcoming movie, “Runway☆Beat“, including Seto Koji, Sakuraba Nanami, Kiritani Mirei, IMALU, and Tanaka Kei, had their very own special stage
, and had fun promoting the movie in such a spectacular way. The band Funky Monkey Babys also made a surprise appearance during the special stage and performed their upcoming single, “Runway☆Beat“, which will be the theme song of the movie.

Based on a popular mobile novel, the movie is about the young transfer student, Mizorogi “Beat” Biito (Seto), and his incredible talent as a designer. He starts to organize a fashion show for the upcoming cultural fashion show, and during the process he is able to unite all the different personalities of his new classmates.

The five of them actually gave us a great teaser by wearing the some of the outfits that we are going to see in the movie. Only Seto’s outfit had to be rearranged a bit for the show, he revealed later.
